La Candelaria
Description
This festival has always been marked in Orcera. The celebration consists of a day of community gathering at the spot known as El Convento. The traditional snack for the day is “the Rosca de la Candelaria”, or Hornazo, featuring a hard-boiled egg, painted in colours, at its centre. A number of traditional folk songs are also sung and danced.
