Description

The living Stations of the Cross, performed entirely by amateur townspeople, has already become a firm tradition of Holy Week in Segura de la Sierra. This custom was started by the town's young people back in 1982-83, and has since been performed periodically, whenever circumstances or timing allowed, by several generations of young — and not so young — people of Segura.

It is a humble performance, with no elaborate resources, whose main appeal lies in unfolding across locations throughout the town, combining the spectacle of the event with the wonderful settings that make up Segura de la Sierra.
