Description
This newly opened Interpretation Centre is a space dedicated to the history of Mengibar, the result of collaboration between the City Council and the University of Jaén. It is located in the Casa Palacio existing in this town.
Through visual and interactive technologies in three dimensions (videomapping, holograms, etc.) it offers the visitor a tour, from the Iberorromana era, through the history of Mengibar related to its geographical location in the confluence of three great rivers: Guadalquivir, Guadalclón and Guadalimar. In this line, its content links with routes such as the time journey of the Iberians or the Phoenicians. Its assembly has received the advice and support of the professionals of the University Institute of Ibera Archaeology of the University of Jaén, headed by Juan Pedro Bellón Ruiz, current director.
