Description
It was ordered to be built by Felipe Martínez Garrido, a rich owner of Jamilena, in the 1910's. It is a voluminous building, whose cover and layout are inspired by the late Spanish-American baroque. Its architecture takes as main references some constructions made in the city of Andújar during the first third of the 20th century. Within it, several high-value canvases are kept, among them a 17th-century picture where the Franciscan San Francisco Solano is represented. This painting is the only canvas on this holy cordobis found in the province of Jaén.
