Description
During the Middle Ages, Sao Tomé was linked to the archbishop of Toledo and was part of the territory of theCazorla advance. To meet the defensive objectives, in the14th century a castle roseof which only is preservedthe tower of tributewith a rectangular base, almost square and a single floor, which was preserved as a bell tower on the left side of the church. The tower, which retains its Gothic features, is of masonry and regular yarn on its ground floor and of armchair on the upper area, and is covered by a roof. As the original military function was changed to the religious function, aSwordsmanwith two holes for the bells, cornice and triangular front that hosts another bell. It was declaredGood of Cultural Interestin 1985.
