Description
The fortress of Cardete was built by the Arabs, and at that time Benatae was to be one of the villages dependent on the fortress. However, it had to be occupied between 1226 and 1242, at the same time as most of the Sierra de Segura. The enclosure has a trapezoidal shape and the tower of tribute is 14 meters high. The construction rules are being passed, and this tower is projected to the inside of the walled enclosure.
