In Pontones, located in the idyllic surroundings of the Sierra de Segura, "Vida Trashumante," an innovative initiative that fuses the transhumanous livestock tradition with sustainable agriculture, a unique symbiosis where sheep pasture among olive trees, contributing to ecological balance and the conservation of the environment. In this context, the experience "Behind the footsteps of transhumanism" invites participants to become pastors for one day. Along this journey, you will live closely the history of transhumanism as you explore one of the most emblematic routes that pastors have followed for centuries. The route goes through one of the traditional livestock routes used by the transhuman herds, where participants will have the opportunity to explore tins, counters and other livestock infrastructures that have been part of the landscape for generations. As you advance the road, you will enjoy the most spectacular landscapes of the mountain, surrounded by a unique nature. Among the highlights of the tour is the birth of the Segura River or the Campos de Hernán Pelea, one of the most emblematic areas of the region where you can also appreciate the majesty of the leonate vulture or the flight of the broken bones.
