Discover an ancient trade: do you want to be a resin tapper for a day? with ASINRE
Description
The resinero trade has been recovered in the Natural Park of the Serras de Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas after 60 years of extinction, thanks to the International Association of Resineros (ASINRE). To bring this tradition closer to visitors, it offers the opportunity to experience the profession of resinero for one day. The resin, extracted from the pine trees, is present in many daily products such as cosmetics, soaps, adhesives and paintings. In this area, the resin extraction is carried out in the variety of pine "pinus pinaster," also known as pine resiner. During this activity, participants will visit the work area of the resineros, learn about the history of the trade, the extraction techniques and the countries where it is still practised. In addition, you will discover the wide variety of resin products. The experience is complemented by interactive games, where visitors will learn about current resineros countries and products containing resin. At the end, you can enjoy a tasting of sweet and salty products typical of the area, thus completing a day of learning and connection with local tradition. The minimum age for this activity is 7 years. The tasting of products is optional, if made, food allergies and intolerances should be reported at the time of booking.
