Bulkuna and Porcuna: the Andalusi and Christian City

Description

Visit to the New Tower or Boabdil and remains of the Castle. Porcra, named City in 1908 by Alfonso XIII, is a "city of cities": the Ibera IBOLCA, the Roman OBVLCO, the Hispanovisigoda OBOLCON and the Hispanomusulmana BULKUNA. The same name that has traveled through time.

One visit to meet all these cities. The Ibero-Roman city has as its colophone the great Sculptural Set of White Cerrillo, unique in its genre and quality. The Roman fortification was reused in medieval times. The Spanish-Muslim culture built one of the most important fortifications in the environment. After the take of the city by Fernando III El Santo, about 1242, this is the surrender to the Order of Calatrava, then being built a Palacial Set of unique architectural beauty whose culmination is the New Tower, built in the early 15th century and where about 1488 Boabdil El Chico, the last Granadino king, was imprisoned for a few months.

The New Tower or Boabdil is the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Obvlco.

The work of the stone in the city reaches beautiful pictures in its urban fabric and in the different monuments. The entity of the Archaeological Conjuntas of the term and city has made it named Good of Cultural Interest, with the typology of Archaeological Zone (BOJA of 26 July 2013).

in battle and their weapons and we will try to reproduce them. Workshop price: 3 €/ child. Duration of activity 2 hours.

* 2. * * IpolkaFashion Day. * We will make our particular fashion parade. Creating our own models and jewels as they did in the Ibera era. Workshop price: 3 €/ child. Duration of activity 2 hours.

* 3. * * The Ibero-Roman currency. * While we learn how coins were made in ancient times and for what they served, we will recreate one of them. Workshop price: 4 €/ child. Duration of activity 2 hours.
