"Nights of Light in the Castles of Jaén 2025" continues throughout August with a full schedule of activities. This initiative, promoted by the Provincial Council of Jaén with the collaboration of the municipalities that make up the route "Castles and Battles of the Kingdom of Jaén," offers a varied evening programming to enjoy during the summer free of charge twenty privileged enclaves of the defensive architecture of the province.

Music, magic and circus in the light of candles

During the month of August, various proposals are maintained that combine visual and sensitive experiences under the soft light of the candles. Music, dance, or star observation come together to create a very special environment. The activities which remain to be held during this month are:

• Torredonjimene. On August 10, Golden Circus brings a journey through the universe with circus, magic, music and soap pomps.
• Get away. On August 23, the Ubeda Symphony Band will offer a unique performance that unites music, heritage and emotion.
• Jodar. On August 26, the Flamenco Magic company transformed Jódar's night into a unique show that mixed flamenco, magic, clown and live music, all under the intimate atmosphere of the light of the candles.

Sail-light tours

This cycle invites you to visit this summer nine unique enclaves of the route Castles and Battle of the Kingdom of Jaén in the light of the candles and with a nice environmental music. You can also choose a night guided tour.

Luminare unique experiences

Electronic music, live DJs, projections and digital art come together to create immersive experiences that merge history and vanguard. Each of these nights makes the castle a vibrant setting with games of lights, projections, lasers, smoke and audiovisual creations, in a synergy between heritage, technology and electronic music. The entry is free of charge upon registration.

• La Iruela, August 8: the cycle unique experiences "Luminare" starts in the Castle of La Iruela with the show by Delaschuches, Doctor Fli, Colodro B2B, and Ballester.
• Lopera, August 16: the Castle of Lopera will host a show by Cristian Varela, Álvaro Sánchez and Flipping.
• Sabiote, 29 August: the Castle of Sabiote will receive the show by Fernanda Martins, Krenon and Andrea León.

A diverse programming in historical enclaves

These activities of "Nights of Light in the Castles of Jaén" are included in the program "Viva Castillos y Batallas," which celebrates its twentieth anniversary with a cultural and festive programming in historical enclaves of the province with the aim of promoting its heritage and tourist value. This programme also includes a wide variety of activities organized by the municipalities of Castillos and Batallas del Reinos de Jaén, which are important for their diversity and for adapting to the characteristics of each municipality with activities such as historical recreations, concerts, theatrical visits, medieval markets or festivals. During August, these proposals allow neighbors and visitors to enjoy the province's defensive heritage from a cultural and participatory perspective.
