Big Game Hunting (Deer and Wild Boar)
Montería, a Spanish-style driven hunt for red deer and wild boar. It is one of the most beautiful and exclusive big game hunting practices, with origins dating back to the 12th century, precisely in the lands of Jaén.
Batidas and Ganchos are variants of montería. Rececho, where the hunter, without the aid of dogs, seeks out the game to be stalked. Aguardo, where the hunter positions themselves at strategic spots to
wait for the animal.
Small Game Hunting
Ojeo, a small game hunting method in which partridges are flushed towards the hunting posts by beaters spread across the terrain. Reclamo, partridge hunting using a live male decoy bird as a lure. Al Salto, where the hunter, alone or accompanied by dogs, walks the terrain in search of game.
En Mano, a variant of the previous method, but involving several hunters accompanied by their dogs. En Puestos Fijo, where hunters occupy strategic posts close to game trails or habitual haunts. Photographic Hunting.

Cazorla and Segura Andalusian Hunting Reserve: Located within the Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Natural Park, it covers more than 70,000 hectares. It is one of the most important game, forestry and botanical reserves in Spain.
