Description
In the Ventilla de Beas, the people of Beas waited and received, with great joy, the Santa Teresa de Jesús entourage to accompany them to the place of the foundation. The delegation arrives at Beas de Segura along the royal road, the current route of the A-6301 highway, along the right bank of the Beas river, without crossing this river. About two kilometers from the town was La Ventilla de Beas, owned by a brother of the promoters of the foundation, Doña Catalina Godínez and Doña María de Sandoval, and the junction point of the Beas road with the royal road. So in this place, both the official reception and many other Beasenses waited for the Saint's entourage to accompany them to the place where the future foundation would be located: (...) Chapter 22. 19. La Ventilla de Beas still stands, although without activity and very renovated. Likewise, in this place there is also a monument made by the Giennese artist Constantino Unguetti in 1970 in memory of Santa Teresa de Jesús. You will be able to recreate yourself in this Teresian place and pay tribute to him in the existing monument in memory of Santa Teresa de Jesús.
