Description
It rises on an Arab fortress of the 13th century. It has been continuously reformed since the 15th century, when it was dedicated to Christian worship.
It is built in gilded masonry and seen silery, and the set presents basilical plant with half-point arches on quadrangular pillars with achaflanated corners.
In the interior of the Hermitage you can admire, along with the elegance of its three ships, the altar and the paintings of the Camarín de la Virgen, the work of the artist Palma Burgos, said Camarín is located in the tower of tribute and covers it a half orange vault on the pechines. In addition, we can see the magnificent roof, remodeled in 1999, which evokes the old and original wooden mudejar, which had sunk in the 18th century.
From the outside you can see the structure of the torreon that belonged to the Arab fortress, for its suitability they were blinded vain and saetera. In 1781 the bell tower was raised and in the mid-20th century the swordsman was raised.
Every year from 1 to 3 May we celebrate the rosemary in honor of our Patrona, The Virgin of La Estrella, declared of tourist interest in 1985, in the Llano of La Estrella, as we call the naveros popularly to the place where the Ermita is located.
