Description
He began his professional career in the study of the Sevillian imaginary Mr Antonio Dubé de Luque, acquiring knowledge about religious imagery, wood size, drawing and modeling. Led in Fine Arts by the University of Seville, Manuel specializes in sculpture, obtaining a scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Spanish Academy of Archaeology and Fine Arts of Rome. In the 1990s it is established in the town of Andújar where it already begins its professional career as a sculptor of both civil and religious work. He has developed important works at the national level in the intervention of temples or churches, sculptures for hermandades or co-fradies, as well as for individuals.
From its workshop, declared by the Junta de Andalucía Punto de Interés Artesanal, and in a very personal style, Manuel mixes different materials until he can solve the work of art. Wood, iron, stone, bronze, etc. A multitude of artistic possibilities that have led Manuel to experience also new remains and to enter into the artisanal manufacture of jewels and other works of restoration and conservation of Andalusian artistic heritage.
