Siles is one of the important towns in Sierra de Segura, for its past, present and future. Its strategic location, straddling the border between the provinces of Jaén and Albacete, made it a defensive stronghold and checkpoint along the route to the Levante in the medieval period.

Its most iconic attraction is the cylindrical tower of El Cubo, and its rich natural heritage attracts many visitors. Nature highlights in the surrounding area include Las Acebeas, a true botanical oasis full of contrasts and colours and which looks more like a typical central European forest. In the town itself, it is possible to visit the interpretive centre "El Sequero", which is dedicated to forest professions.
