The town centre is situated on the top of a ridge from which it is possible to make out a wide panorama and spot almost twenty towns in the surrounding area. The area around Jabalquinto also includes meadows and lands irrigated by the three rivers that run through the area: the Guadiel, Guadalimar and Guadalquivir. The local economy revolves around agriculture, particularly olives, but also industrial arable crops like beetroot and cotton. Its architectural heritage includes the Iglesia Parroquial de la Encarnación (Parochial Church of the Incarnation), which was built during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, and which features a fascinating renaissance façade. There is also the Palace of Jabalquinto, whose works began in the 15th century by the noble Benavide family and were continued by the Count of Benavente.
