The figure of master recognizes the career and professional experience of artisans who for more than 15 years have developed a certain craft activity, which has contributed positively to the maintenance of a trade and its promotion. With their daily work, they have made it possible to perfect the traditional production methods and have promoted the conservation of the cultural and historical heritage and the economic development of our province, with their works being an exceptional artistic expression and expression. It is a LETTER granted personally, non-transferable and for life, by the Junta de Andalucía.

Currently, in Jaén there are four master craftsmen, of which two are no longer in practice.
