Iglesia Parroquial de la Natividad de Nuestra Señora

23180, Fuerte del Rey

It is the most remarkable building in Fuerte del Rey. Its execution was concluded in 1796. It has a single floor with pointed and whitewashed arches. The choir stands high and in front of the altar. The façade is made of stonework and is supported by strong abutments. The most interesting element is the belfry that is located at the foot of the temple. It is articulated in three bodies separated by molding, with a window in the second of them and with an ashlar wall. The last section, the belfry proper, is not made of stone, and has two hollows for bells, stylized and covered with a semicircular arch. It ends in a pediment with a truncated pyramid structure, adorned at its base with graceful windings.
