The Salado de Arjona is born in the municipality of Los Villares and runs through the region of the Campiña de Jaén with a route in a north-south direction along about 48 km until its mouth in the Guadalquivir river next to the town of Marmolejo . The main populations in its basin are Martos and Lopera. It flows into the Guadalquivir in the municipality of Marmolejo.
