Adelfal Path of Pictures

The natural dolphin of the Cuadros River is probably one of the largest in size and importance in the Iberian Peninsula. This plant has a beautiful flowering in spring and summer that colours the beautiful valley of the Cuadros River with pink, embedded between vertical cuts and folds, with a rich geological diversity. The oleanders, plants that do not resist frost, are located in the lower parts of the Sierra Mágina Natural Park and in areas where there are nearby watercourses. Weeping willows, fig trees and other species typical of riverbanks mark the path.

Located in the incomparable spot of Cuadros near the town of Bedmar, this path offers the visitor a short but unforgettable journey. You will enter through a river that holds one of the most important natural masses of oleander in the peninsula. During the walk, you will be able to observe the exuberance of the oleander formations that develop exceptional arboreal features. The sound of the water will accompany us during our journey relaxing our senses, and surprising us in summer with a fresh and spectacular escape.

Along the path, and intermittently, it is possible to take the Cuadros watchtower as a reference, a landmark that reminds us of the past of these lands as a border of the kingdom of Granada.

Next to the path, next to the hermitage of the venerated Virgin of Cuadros, we find the Water Cave, a magical place for the summer, if we want to walk inside the river and discover three caves through which the river flows forming spectacular formations as a result of the water flowing over time.

This path also links up with the Las Viñas path, which takes us to the Torreón de Cuadros viewpoint with unbeatable views over this unique valley.
