Cañada del Saucar to Puntal de la Misa Hiking Route
This is one of the most impressive walking routes in the Segura mountains. As you progress upwards, vegetation becomes scarcer, finally being reduced to a sparse copse of laburnum. However, when you reach the top of the limestone crag you will find yourself in the magnificent and inspiring surroundings of the Segura highlands: an enormous limestone shelf, 5 kilometres long, with pastures grazed by flocks of Segura sheep and pockmarked with sinkholes (called sorbeores by locals), hidden watercourses and rocky escarpments.
