In Alcalá la Real, Good Friday morning is experienced differently. Characters such as the good and the bad thief, disguised with hoods, or the executioners are in charge of staging the passion of Christ. In the streets of this city, in which the Muslim presence can still be breathed, the proclamations are developed where the mimicry and the "faces" differentiate the characters.
Since 1999, it is a festival of Andalusian tourist interest.
