Mª José Moreno Moreno

Cerámica Pepa Moreno

C/ Alta, nº 10.

Her previous knowledge in history, architecture and art led Pepa to start getting acquainted with the world of pottery. Her interest in this jb, as well as in the different uses and destinies that the most traditional pieces of clay have had over the centuries, led her to carry out an important research study together with archaeologists specialized in Baezan ceramics, awakening in her a clear vocation to recover and put this legacy to good use. From her workshop, which has recently been catalogued as a Point of Artisan Interest by the Junta de Andalucia, she makes all kinds of pieces and objects in a handmade way, preserving not only their appearance, but also the handmade manufacture of each one of them. Pitchers, basins, daggerboards or mortars, an extensive catalog of products for decorative or domestic use whose greatest differentiation are the blue borders and seventeenth century like designs.
