From the same pools of the Nacimiento, a channel known to the neighbors as "el Caz" is extracted, which allows watering the riverside orchards for several kilometers, and joins the river again in the town, next to the bridge Roman de Triana, place where permits were issued for the “El Carrizal” fishing reserve, whose upper section is the source of the Río San Juan. The pool closest to the river was used for the release of trout and the practice of this activity both for people with reduced mobility and for children where they learned the values and techniques necessary to manage themselves, within this sport and get their own catches

The preserve is divided by zones, which facilitates fishing for different groups. In the Nacimiento del Río itself there are some pools where people with reduced mobility or children who want to learn the necessary techniques to manage themselves and get their own catches can fish. In the Valdepeñas Bridge, one of the most outstanding pools of this fishing reserve is formed, both for the number of trout that are hidden there and for the surprises in the form of trophy trout, some with more than 5 kilos of weight.
The total length of the preserve is 7,350 meters, with several areas along its course, where you can park, facilitating travel by car during the fishing day. The use of artificial lures, putty and cereals is allowed.
The trout are salmon and come from the Aguasmula fish farm in Cazorla, releases are daily based on the permits granted.
