Since 1961, Anís Castillo de Jaén has ceased to be a brand marketed by one of the few remaining distilleries in the province to become a symbol for the city of Jaén. Its indisputable label with the Castle of Santa Catalina cut out on the horizon, a collector's item for nostalgic people, the company that Ángel Tirado started up in his day, sells two of the drinks that are not lacking on the table of Jaen people in times indicated: anise and coffee cream. With a very careful production system, the factory continues to work in a very traditional way, leaving filling and labeling almost in the hands of technology.

The good work of Anís Castillo de Jaén earned its holder, Ángel Tirado, the Medal of Merit at Work in 2007. Today, it is the third generation of the Ortega family that tries to continue the two distillate brands.
