ACCEDER

Nacimiento del Tercero

To get to the starting point of the excursion, take the asphalt lane that leads to the Los Rosales and Cerezo Gordo farmhouses at the Frailes exit. After having left the zigzagging Noalejo lane to the right, it reaches the Portillo Pinatero and from there it descends directly to the Cortijo de La Fresnedilla where the car is left.

Program

Not far from the path and just in front of the farmhouse, a signposted path starts to the right parallel to the stream, which you will have to ford shortly before the wire fence. Once on the other shore, you cross the esplanade in search of a path that enters the beautiful gorge of Arroyo de la Fresnedilla.

The ravine gradually narrows and forces you to change banks several times. At the confluence with another stream and after having walked about twenty-five minutes, the ravine opens. At this point you have to go to the right bank to join a dirt track. The path now follows the winding riverbed, sometimes on the right bank and on others, on the opposite. You must inevitably cross the riverbed several times, and if it has a lot of water, you will even have to remove your shoes on more than one occasion.

Finally, the lane disappears. The route continues jumping from one shore to another in search of the most comfortable steps to a dam and waterfall, after one hour and ten minutes.

It is taken on the right bank, the path of the acequia that used to carry the water from the chorreta to the old light factory, in the Barranco de Valdearazo. Place where the route ends.
