La Cabeza Tower

23110, Pegalajar How to get

It is a masonry tower, cylindrical in shape, whose function was one of surveillance and communication. It was built in its present state by the Constable Miguel Lucas of Iranzo between 1462 and 1470, although it is likely that it was built on the ruins of an earlier one. In fact, this tower is part of a group of towers that crossed the province in a north-south direction. Nearby, there were two more towers that are now in ruins.
