The Pósito, an old building from the 18th century, built as a grain warehouse, was transformed years later into a prison, becoming in 1975 a special education school. After the recent and careful rehabilitation, it is conceived as the tourist and cultural reference space of the city. The center brings together all the history and heritage of Linares where mining, the art of bullfighting and flamenco have a prominent place.

Organized in different spaces, it houses the new Tourist Office, the Interpretation Center of the city, a Center of Documentation and tourist resources of Linares, a room for temporary exhibitions and congresses, a souvenir store, and on the top floor, the official Museum of the universal singer from Linares Raphael. Also, annexed to this building is the Municipal Auditorium, capable of hosting conferences and events of all kinds.
