Monument

Plaza Sta Maria, s/n. 23760, Arjona How to get

It is an Elizabethan style temple (16th century), with a single nave and a short-armed transept. Located on a sacred site since ancient times (Roman, Visigoth and Muslim remains), it was built on the remains of the primitive Arab mosque. The church has guarded since 1843 the images of the local patrons: San Bonoso and San Maximiano, together with that of Santa María del Alcázar, which was also the patron saint of the city.
